Saving Barcode Printing Templates

When printing barcodes from a labsheet, you can save your metadata configuration as a template. Each labsheet can have its own barcode printing templates, allowing you to quickly reuse the same metadata settings whenever you print barcodes.

Create a Barcode Printing Template

This feature can be accessed through the print barcode option within the floating toolbar in labsheet.

Once the metadata options have all been configured and ready to print, there is an option in the bottom right of the window to save this configuration as a template.

After selecting this "Save as new template" button, a name for the template can be assigned and the template can also be assigned as the default template for printing barcode on this labsheet.

Once saved, these templates can be accessed through the same barcode printing window under the Template input.

How using barcode templates can improve user experience

Barcode printing templates make it easier to maintain consistent metadata configurations across repeated barcode printing tasks. By saving a configuration as a template, you can quickly apply the same settings without having to manually configure the metadata each time.

Templates are saved specifically to the labsheet where they are created, allowing each labsheet to have its own templates based on its unique printing requirements. You can also designate a template as the default, ensuring your preferred configuration is automatically selected whenever you open the barcode printing window.

Using templates can help streamline the barcode printing workflow, reduce repetitive configuration, and ensure that the correct metadata is included consistently on printed barcodes.
