Overview

Archived Samples can be seen through Labflows, helping teams keep track of samples that are no longer active. This makes it easier to keep active flows clean while still maintaining visibility into archived records. Users can quickly see how many samples have been archived in a flow and open them directly when needed

Example Use Case

To make this easier to understand, let’s look at a simple example.

Suppose a team is using a Labflow to manage samples through different workflow steps. Over time, some samples may no longer need to stay in the active view and can be archived to keep the flow organized.

The archived samples count is shown in the UI, making it easy for users to see how many records have been archived and open them whenever needed.

How Samples Can Be Archived in a Labflow

  1. Navigate to Labflows.

  2. Open the Samples page.

  3. Identify the sample samples that are no longer needed in the active flow and select them.

  4. From the floating toolbar, click the Archive icon.

  5. Since the selected samples belong to an active Labflow, a confirmation prompt will appear.

  6. Confirm the action to archive the selected samples.

Once archived, these samples will no longer appear in the active Samples view.

How Archived Samples Are Seen in the Labflow

  1. Navigate to Labflows.

  2. Open the Flows page.

  3. Select the Labflow from which the samples were archived.

  4. Scroll down to the Sample Manager section.

  5. In the top right corner of the Sample Manager, the UI shows the number of unarchived and archived samples.

Conclusion

Viewing archived samples through Labflows gives teams better visibility into records that are no longer part of the active workflow. It helps keep flows organized, makes archived records easier to track, and gives users a simple way to review them whenever needed.
