The Labsheet Tracking view provides a global history of activity on your Labsheet. From file uploads to schema changes, you can easily see who made updates and when they happened—all in one place.

Use this view to monitor:

  • File uploads (CSV/XLSX imports)

  • Schema changes (added or edited columns)

  • Who made each change

  • When the change occurred

This makes it especially useful for collaboration, auditing, and troubleshooting.

How to Access the Tracking View

  1. Open your Labsheet.

  2. In the top bar, click the Tracking tab.

  3. You’ll see two sections:

    • Upload Tracking

    • Schema Changes

Upload Tracking

The Upload Tracking tab shows every time a CSV or XLSX file was imported into the Labsheet. For each upload, you’ll see:

Information Shown

Description

Timestamp

When the file was uploaded

Uploaded By

Name of the user who uploaded it

File Name

The uploaded file (downloadable)

Processing Status

Whether the import succeeded or failed

Error Log

Details on any failed entries, if any (downloadable)

You can click on the file name or error report to download them directly.

Schema Changes

The Schema Changes tab tracks any modifications to the Labsheet’s structure. This includes:

  • Added columns

  • Edited columns

  • Who made the change

  • When the change occurred

This is especially useful for Labsheets that evolve over time or involve multiple collaborators.

Why Use the Tracking View?

The Tracking view helps you maintain a clear audit trail of Labsheet activity, quickly troubleshoot failed imports, collaborate confidently across teams, and monitor changes over time to support data compliance.
