Scispot uses several types of Labsheets, each designed for a specific use case. Because of this, the tools available for managing rows can differ between Labsheets. This guide walks you through how to manage rows across all Labsheet types in Scispot.

Selecting Rows

For all Labsheet types:

  • Click the checkbox on the left of a row to select it.

  • Click the checkbox in the header to select all rows.

Standard Labsheet

Your standard Labsheet—accessible through the Labsheet menu—uses a floating toolbar to manage rows.

Once rows are selected, the floating toolbar appears with the following actions:

Location Manager

Place samples into a location using one of the following:

  • Add new location – Create a new location (either a root location or a Plate/Box manifest) and specify where it should be added.

  • Existing location – Select an existing location from your Location Manager.
⚠️ Samples cannot be placed directly into racks.

Checkout

Move samples to another location:

  • Options – Choose an existing manifest, an existing Labspace page, or create a new one from a template.

  • Self Checkout – Manually checkout items and reduce available quantity without assigning them to a location.

Run Zap

Trigger Zapier webhooks for the selected entries.

Archive

Move entries to the archive. See the article on archiving for more info.

Create Children

Generate child entries based on your selections. See the article on child creation.

Print

Print barcodes for selected entries. See the article on using barcodes.

Bulk Update

Update multiple entries at once. See the bulk update guide.

Delete

Permanently delete entries. ⚠️ This cannot be undone.

System-Generated Labsheets

System-generated Labsheets—such as the Manifest Library—behave similarly to standard Labsheets but offer fewer actions:

  • Run Zap – Trigger Zapier Webhooks.

  • Print – Print barcodes.

Labflow Order Labsheets

When working with Labflow order Labsheets, selecting rows gives you access to the following actions:

  • Remove selection – Permanently remove orders from the Labsheet.
⚠️ Not available if the Orders step is marked as completed.

  • View selection details – See sample details and recent activity.

Labflow Sample Labsheets

For Labflow sample Labsheets, the toolbar includes the following actions:

  • Details Panel – View sample information and recent activity.

  • Print – Print barcode labels.

  • Create Children – Generate child entries.

  • Delete – Remove entries permanently.

Labflow Batch / Queued Samples

When managing Batch or Queued Samples in Labflow, the following options are available:

  • Remove selection – Remove samples from the Labsheet (not available once the step is completed).

  • Print Barcode – Print barcode labels.

Labflows Sample Manager

The Labflows Samples Manager offers functionality similar to standard Labsheets sans Checkout, plus additional Flow-related tools:

Assign to Flow

Assign entries to an existing flow. Entries must have passed QC and must not already be part of a flow.

Other Actions

  • Location Manager

  • Run Zap

  • Archive

  • Create Children

  • Print

  • Bulk Update

  • Delete

Embedded Labsheets in Labspace Pages

Embedded Labsheets within Labspace pages offer limited functionality, but row selection works the same as regular Labsheets.

Available Actions

  • Delete Item – Permanently delete entries. You can choose to either remove it from the embedded Labsheet or the embedded Labsheet as well as from the original Labsheet.

  • Create Children – Generate child entries.

  • Assign Locations – Add a new location or use an existing one (just like standard Labsheets).
