Descriptor Columns

A Descriptor column defines how entries from a Labsheet are displayed in the Location Manager. When a record from the Labsheet is placed in a location, its descriptor provides a readable label alongside the entry’s ID.

How to Set a Descriptor Column

  1. Click the chevron next to the column name

  2. Select “Set as Descriptor”

  3. The selected column will display an “abc” icon, indicating it is now the Descriptor column

Once set, any item from the Labsheet added to a location will appear as:
ID - Descriptor value, making entries easier to identify at a glance.
