Function: Plato is an AI agent integrated into Labspace pages that streamlines experimental workflows. It enables you to design plates, import data directly from instruments, and embed instrument results within your Labspace documentation.
Use Case: Let's say for example, you're a researcher running a high-throughput screening assay. You can use Plato to design and embed a 384-well plate layout, upload raw instrument output as a CSV, and generate a Labsheet that links results directly to the plate design without even having to leave the Labspace page.
Plates by Plato
In your Labspace page, type \Plato and select Plates by Plato.
Choose one of two options:
Design a Plate:
Create and embed a new Well Plate Manifest.
Provide a plate name, description, and select dimensions from default options.
Import Data from Instrument:
Embed any plate into your page.
Choose an existing embedded plate, insert one already created, or design one from scratch.
Results by Plato
In your Labspace page, type \Plato and select Results by Plato.
Follow the workflow to embed instrument results:
Select the instrument source.
Upload a .csv file of instrument results.
Choose the embedded plate to incorporate into your analysis.
Click Import Data.
Select which columns to include (note, this will require you to create the appropriate Results Labsheet template for the instrument you are using, e.g. for BMG Labtech Clariostar, you will need to go to Labsheets -> + Create -> Discover Templates and use the Results - BCA Clariostar template to create a new Labsheet)
Click Generate Labsheet to create a newly embedded Labsheet with the results.
