Scibot is Scispot’s in-house AI Lab Assistant. It helps you with a wide range of tasks, from onboarding new users to Scispot’s features, to summarizing and answering questions about your current work.
Scibot has access to your Labsheets, Manifests, Labspaces, Labflows, and other Scispot spaces, making it easy to quickly summarize information or answer detailed questions.

To get started, simply click on the floating Scibot icon in the bottom right of the page.

Searching for Specific Items
Global Mode allows Scibot to search across all your items. This is best for questions about relationships between items or multiple workflows.
Answering your page related questions
This page/This sheet mode allows you to ask questions about data on the current page. Best for questions about a single Labsheet, Manifest, or Labspace Page.
To switch modes:
Click the dropdown menu in Scibot’s top bar.
Select This page/This sheet or Global depending on your needs.
Use Case: Searching for a Specific Sample in Your Lab Workflow
Imagine you're working on a complex workflow involving multiple samples and need to find the details of a specific sample, including the Labsheet it is associated with.
Here are the steps you can follow:
Click on the Scibot icon in the bottom right corner to open Scibot.
In the search bar, type the Sample ID you’re looking for.
Scibot will pull up results from across your Labsheets, Manifests, and Labspaces that are related to that Sample ID.
This process can be replicated any time you need to find specific items across your Scispot workspace.
AI Lab Drive
The AI Lab Drive lets you extend Scibot’s knowledge by uploading your own documents. This allows Scibot to answer questions and summarize information specific to your files.
Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, XLS and CSV
To use the AI Lab Drive:
Click the book icon in Scibot’s top bar.
Or you can also click on the three dots on the left navigation column and click on the 'AI Lab Drive' option.
Select + Upload Files and choose your PDFs, DOCX or PPT documents.
Go to Scibot and you can ask questions based on the files you've uploaded. Note: If you've closed the Scibot window, open it from the Home screen, then return to the AI Lab Drive to access this functionality.
