Function: In a collaborative and iterative environment like a research lab, version control is essential. It allows new versions of pages to be created without overwriting earlier ones, ensuring that no information is lost. Each version is timestamped, and branching enables multiple users to work in parallel without disrupting each other’s progress.
Use Case: With Scispot’s support for multiple versions of a single page, researchers can safely refine experiments, protocols, and documentation. Previous versions remain intact, preserving the full history of a document. This makes it easy to reference, compare, or revert to earlier work whenever you please.
